Who is the mystery couple...?
I really did take some pix of their faces! I just thought it was funny that I had several feet photos, and I really liked them! What do you think? Of course, I will be giving them copies of ALL the photos, but aren't these cute??? P.S. THese guys were real troopers - we took these photos today in 23 degree weather, and it was NOT pleasant! Now, the company, on the other hand, was fantastic! Wish I had such a cute couple to photograph all of the time!!!

Happy Day of Love!!!
My loving husband and I both had work type things to do today, but we still managed to celebrate Valentine's Day in style! David had made reservations at Sake Blue for 7:30, so we walked in and were seated right away. There was a jazz band playing, which was nice, and we got three sushi rolls!!! We managed to kill them, too - talk about gorgin ourselves! So, we got each other sweet cards, and I gave him some little gift certificates for fun things - a night of ESPN together, a Blizzard from DQ, and a back rub just to name a few! All in all, a pretty fantastic night together...and now we're going to watch a Will Smith movie and snuggle on the couch. What a way to celebrate love! Here is a photo of me being goofy and the pretty rose I got tonight at dinner...
I suck at this
Seriously, I am so behind and I am NOT doing a good job of keeping up with this project! These photos were taken Thursday night of Tasha's blooming belly and the first pictures of my niece or nephew - how crazy is that?! (S)he has a little Budha belly and a very...pronounced nose - it is exciting to know that it's really a baby in there, and we will get to watch Tasha's belly grow, and hopefully meet the new baby in late August!!!

Mission Week
Today was the first day of Mission Week, and we started it off with a Christian concert with Cooper Ray...who was a little cheesy, very yay-God, had a pleasant voice, a little too much self-disclosure, and a nice way to kick-off Mission Week. I got to teach my PhotoShop class in the afternoon and it went really well - all the girls now have photos of themselves with Brad Pitt and Will Ferrell (yes, Will Ferrell!)...it was clearly a success! Anyway, I really will share some tips for anyone who is interested later, but for now I am off to dinner and choir!
Sunday...and herding cats
Well, when my boss Mary Beth asked me to take photos of her 3 grandkids together (okay, actually I butted in and offered my services!), she told me that it was like trying to herd cats to get the 3 of them together, happy, and looking in the remotely same direction...and she wasn't exaggerating! It was fun, though - they are GORGEOUS kids! I have one of the 3 together that I got to work out, but here is one of Annie - those eyes!!!

Saturday at the park
We had such a fun day on Saturday! David and I met up with Krissy, Jeff, Kaia, and Ariana, and Mandy and Kiera to play at the park and get some photos. Kaia and Kiera are the same age, but this was the first time they met each other - you would never have guessed that, though, by the end of the afternoon - they were fast friends! Anyway, much fun was had by all, and I got a few cute pix of the girls...(P.S. the tears are because we said it was time to leave...she had a good time!)

29/365: "Work"
Sometimes I really get to enjoy my job - hanging out with 7th and 8th grade girls or the older ones who already go to Assumption...taking tours with parents and families, and having the opportunity to brag about all the things that make Assumption "the greatest high school in the country" in my humble opinion...working with students and coworkers that make me laugh and laugh at me (not with me, mind you!)...talking about innovative strategies to reach out to potential students or alumnae and how we can keep up with the ever-changing technology around us...yeah, some days I really get a kick out of my job. Today was one of those days -- it was jam-packed and I was busy all day long, but I felt like I was fulfilled in my work today. That's why I do what I do. And we had a big group of really fun 7th grade girls in today to shadow. Girls from St Aloysius, St Albert the Great, and St Margaret Mary - sweet, outgoing, fun girls...I love it! Here is a photo they let me take of the SATG group - hopefully these are our future Rockets...if so, we've got good things to look forward to!
Wednesday: 28/365
This is going to be quick...my day yesterday consisted of lots of things to keep me busy at work, followed by my own insanity in thinking I could handle both dogs at the vet's office by myself (wrong!) while Elvis had his smell problems taken care of for the month, then giving him a bath back home (lovely to shower in afterwards, by the way - yuck!), and finally Mexican food with my parents (but this time I cooked - for the most part)...all in all, another busy day! I did, however, take one little photo during the day of one of my students and her capital prize tickets - okay, it was totally staged because I wanted a photo for a big email I'm sending out, but still....it turned out okay for being a quick job. Today, I am going to be working on a Photoshop tutorial that I'm giving for students next Monday during Mission Week, so I may post some of that later. At any rate, here is Leah:

Home at last (aka 27/365)
As of about 8:30 last night, we officially have electricty back on at our house...in turn, we also have heat, and as of tonight we are finally back home in the comfort of our own bed - hallelujah! My parents were phenomenal, but there's just no place like being back at home. To celebrate, I got some pix of the front of the house which got a fresh dusting of powder earlier today. It's so pretty - as long as you can enjoy it from inside, where it's warm! I'm off to my comfy, big, king-sized bed...ahhhhh!
Monday: 26/365
Monday meant back to work *SIGH!* And choir later in the evening. We are working on putting together a photo directory to help people learn names, and I have volunteered myself to take those photos. So tonight I got a few...nothing extraordinary - I mean, they're practically driver's license photos or mug shots. Still, I think I got a few good ones. I thought today would be fun to show a before & after PhotoShop. My camera can only do so much, and then PS helps make people look a little nicer and just touch up in places. I LOVE PS!!! So, for your viewing pleasure, a before & after...(click on the bigger image to really get a good idea)
Sunday: 25/365
Sunday, we headed to church, which was surprisingly crowded...and hot. A lot of the snow and ice began to melt, but our heat still did not want to come back on. Darn - I guess it's more of mom's cooking! After lunch, Mom, David, and I watched a movie before hubby and I headed over to Mandy's to watch Super Bowl commercials (note: I did NOT say the game!) Had a good time with my friends, and especially my favorite little goofball model...check her out! And if you want to see the color versions, they're in my Flickr photostream...(do you like the especially goofy one of her flying...it just popped into my head and I had to do it...pretty amateurish, I know, but it made me laugh!)
Saturday: 24/365
Saturday was spent mostly lazing around the house...sounds like something different for a change, huh? Later that night, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for lasagna - yummy! I tell you, I have eaten better in the past week than all of 2008!!! Anyway, we also attempted to play Partini, which was a bit disappointing, save for Grandma miming lap dance on me at one point...anyway, here are my photos from the evening!
