Race to the Finish

My hubby along with a couple good friends have been running the Triple Crown races in preparation for the Derby Mini-marathon in a couple weeks. Last weekend was the Papa John's 10-miler, and they all had great times! I am just impressed that they could run for that long!!! Gotta love the commitment in their faces...

I love babies!

And this little guy was stinkin' cute! He wasn't so keen on having his picture done, but I think we got some cute ones anyway! Plus, mommy says I can come back and take more any time - woo hoo! Did I mention that I love babies?!

Photo Books

So, after I did Steven & Julie's engagement shoot last month, she asked me if I would be interested in shooting their wedding in October - absolutely! So, as a little thank you (and because I want to give my "clients" a little something extra), I decided to surprise them with a guest book of some of the engagement photos. I tried touse the ones I know are her favorites, and I'm going to give it to her with the CD of images. Also, I had a coupon to Shutterfly for a free book (just paid for shipping!). It came yesterday in the mail, and my mom just about flipped for it! "What a fabulous way to incorporate the engagement pictures!" she raved...as if this was an original idea by me - hey, why not let her keep thinking that! Anyway, here are some pix of the book - I really like the way it turned out, and I can't wait to send it to Julie! Enjoy...

Race Day

Ask and you shall receive...Heather requested new photos, so here ya go! This was from last Saturday's big race. My honey came in at 24:24 - amazing! He is just so very handsome! And how about my good looking friends, too? They rock! I even got up at 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday to go see this...policeman means business.

Wednesday, Hump Day

Well, I am still working on processing all of the photos I took at Sunday's engagement shoot, so I thought I'd post a few of the babies I shot earlier this month for my boss at work. They turned out really cute IMHO, and the families loved them! Here ya go...

Who is the mystery couple...?

I really did take some pix of their faces! I just thought it was funny that I had several feet photos, and I really liked them! What do you think? Of course, I will be giving them copies of ALL the photos, but aren't these cute??? P.S. THese guys were real troopers - we took these photos today in 23 degree weather, and it was NOT pleasant! Now, the company, on the other hand, was fantastic! Wish I had such a cute couple to photograph all of the time!!!

Day of Rest - yeah right!

Today, we had a day of fun up at school for the incoming freshmen (class of 2013 if you can believe it!), and it really was fun - because I didn't have to plan it, just had to show up and have fun with them! Plus, it was as good excuse as any to take some photos...enjoy!

Happy Day of Love!!!

My loving husband and I both had work type things to do today, but we still managed to celebrate Valentine's Day in style! David had made reservations at Sake Blue for 7:30, so we walked in and were seated right away. There was a jazz band playing, which was nice, and we got three sushi rolls!!! We managed to kill them, too - talk about gorgin ourselves! So, we got each other sweet cards, and I gave him some little gift certificates for fun things - a night of ESPN together, a Blizzard from DQ, and a back rub just to name a few! All in all, a pretty fantastic night together...and now we're going to watch a Will Smith movie and snuggle on the couch. What a way to celebrate love! I suck at this

Seriously, I am so behind and I am NOT doing a good job of keeping up with this project! These photos were taken Thursday night of Tasha's blooming belly and the first pictures of my niece or nephew - how crazy is that?! (S)he has a little Budha belly and a very...pronounced nose - it is exciting to know that it's really a baby in there, and we will get to watch Tasha's belly grow, and hopefully meet the new baby in late August!!!

Mission Week

Today was the first day of Mission Week, and we started it off with a Christian concert with Cooper Ray...who was a little cheesy, very yay-God, had a pleasant voice, a little too much self-disclosure, and a nice way to kick-off Mission Week. I got to teach my PhotoShop class in the afternoon and it went really well - all the girls now have photos of themselves with Brad Pitt and Will Ferrell (yes, Will Ferrell!)...it was clearly a success! Anyway, I really will share some tips for anyone who is interested later, but for now I am off to dinner and choir!

Sunday...and herding cats

Well, when my boss Mary Beth asked me to take photos of her 3 grandkids together (okay, actually I butted in and offered my services!), she told me that it was like trying to herd cats to get the 3 of them together, happy, and looking in the remotely same direction...and she wasn't exaggerating! It was fun, though - they are GORGEOUS kids! I have one of the 3 together that I got to work out, but here is one of Annie - those eyes!!!

Saturday at the park

We had such a fun day on Saturday! David and I met up with Krissy, Jeff, Kaia, and Ariana, and Mandy and Kiera to play at the park and get some photos. Kaia and Kiera are the same age, but this was the first time they met each other - you would never have guessed that, though, by the end of the afternoon - they were fast friends! Anyway, much fun was had by all, and I got a few cute pix of the girls...(P.S. the tears are because we said it was time to leave...she had a good time!)
